Promotora Notredame Productions vítima de ataque informático: “Precisamos do apoio do público para reconstruir presença digital após invasão das redes sociais”

A promotora Notredame Productions, uma das mais importantes parceiras da LOOK mag ao longo dos últimos anos, foi alvo de um ataque informático que resultou no roubo das suas contas oficiais no Facebook e no Instagram, sendo que também as páginas pessoais dos administradores ficaram comprometidas. Comunicado confirma ataque e lamenta perda das contas O incidente foi confirmado pela promotora através de um comunicado público. No texto, o fundador Carlos Freitas lamenta o sucedido e alerta que poderá ser impossível recuperar o acesso às contas originais. “As contas de Facebook e Instagram da Notredame Productions, assim como as dos administradores, foram hackeadas. Infelizmente, é possível que não consigamos recuperar as contas antigas”, lê-se na nota enviada à imprensa. Novas páginas criadas para manter contacto com o público A Notredame Productions reagiu de imediato, criando novas páginas nas redes sociais com o mesmo nome, de modo a restabelecer a comunicação com fãs e parceiros. Agora apela à colaboração do público, pedindo que as novas páginas sejam seguidas e partilhadas para que as informações sobre concertos e eventos futuros continuem a chegar aos seguidores habituais. “Pedimos a todos que nos ajudem a divulgar estas novas páginas, para garantir que o público continua a receber as informações sobre os eventos em curso”, apela a equipa. Apesar do incidente, a Notredame Productions garante que todos os eventos programados decorrerão como previsto. Determinada a ultrapassar o ataque, a empresa afirma que a reconstrução da presença digital é agora uma prioridade e reforça o apelo à união do público. “Seguir e partilhar as novas páginas é, neste momento, o gesto mais simples e eficaz para garantir que o nosso trabalho continua visível e acessível a todos”, conclui Carlos Freitas. By Sandra Pinto In this interview, members Jon, Erik, Truls, and Stian discuss the creative process behind the album, the importance of maintaining full control over their art, the influences that shaped their devastating sound, and the belief that even among the ashes, there is still room to rebuild. Galger og Brann translates to Gallows and Fire. What does this title represent in the context of the album’s themes? Jon: The gallow and fire recur in several of the lyrics. The gallow represents the tool used for destruction of humankind as we know it, and fire represents the end, or conclusion. When the fire has burned everything down, there is nothing left. But when something has burned down, it also gives room for new growth. How did the figure of Den Siste (“The Last One”) come about, and what does he symbolize in your music? Jon: We have used different characters to symbolize different things in our lyrics since the first EP. So when we started to write lyrics for this album, we felt that the world was going in a downward spiral really fast, and something needed to happen. Den Siste represents the world’s destructive process and the darkness that will change everything. He comes armed with his torch and rope and will destroy everything. His ways can be both the end or the beginning. Your sound blends d-beat, crust, blackened hardcore, and death metal influences. How did you arrive at this intense fusion? Jon: Hehe, just a lifelong passion for all kinds of heavy music. When we started the band, we wanted to create something fast and mean, and the combination of the five of us, just sounds like this. We take inspiration from everything we love about metal/hardcore/punk/rock and try to blend it as smoothly as possible. UAAR is a deeply DIY band. What motivated you to take full control over every aspect of the album’s creation? Erik: Some part of the DIY approach comes from skateboarding. Especially the art part of it, like Stian is a skateboard-photographer, I am a skateboard-videographer, and we all like the art that comes with skateboarding. Especially the darker part of it. So it comes naturally for us. Truls: The DIY ethic and hardcore punk / metal are deeply intertwined. We are no different in that respect. We definitely appreciate the control when doing things ourselves, and also there’s a sense of comfort in DIY – especially when it comes to recording. Jon: The five of us are a bunch of very creative people, with a lot of experience outside just music, so it falls natural for us and we just love to create things. How does singing in Norwegian amplify the emotional weight of your lyrics compared to using English? Jon: Dag and I were discussing it when we started to write lyrics for the band, and we both felt that it was easier to convey real anger in norwegian, both lyrically and performance-wise. There’s a strong element of social and ecological critique in the album. What are the core messages you want listeners to take away? Jon: Let your voice be heard against oppressive tendencies and forces, don’t tolerate the constant greed of humankind and don’t let the destruction of the world as we know it be the end, but a new beginning. You describe the album as being about both rage and hope. Can you talk more about that duality and why it matters to you? Jon: I think there are a lot of really awful things happening in the world right now, the greed of humankind never stops to amaze me. Anger is unavoidable if you look around, but I truly believe that change is possible. So I think that if we channel that anger towards a positive change, something good can come out on the other end. What was it like recording drums at Caliban Studios with no click tracks — was that a deliberate decision to preserve raw energy? Truls: Recording at Caliban Studios was a great experience. Fantastic location and Ole Petter and Hilde are very welcoming people. With regards to the recording of the drums and no click tracks? Well, I guess we considered it…but since I have little or no experience with it – and after discussing it with Ole Petter for a minute or two – we decided against it. Haha! But yeah, it certainly adds a rawness and dynamicism to it all. Ted “Nocturno Culto” from Darkthrone praised your album — what did that recognition mean to you as a new band? Erik: Ted showed up at a couple of our gigs, and we have mutual friends through Creature Skateboards. So we ended up sending early mixes to him to get some feedback, and he really liked it. And that means a lot to us coming from Norway, and knowing how big of an influence he is around the world. Funny note: the Creature hat he is wearing these days, he got that from us. I just gave it to him from the top of my head. He is a really nice and cool guy, and gave us some good advice in the process. Thanx Ted!!! By Sandra Pinto In this interview, Melek Taus and Melkor delve into the origins and concepts behind Place of Indulgence — from the meaning of the title and the creation of the tracks to the role of the studio, literary influences, and the occult imagery that permeates their work. The result is a dense and revealing conversation that explores not only the musical construction but also the philosophy behind the world of Nekromatics — a place where excess is virtue, darkness is liberation, and every song is a ritual in itself. What does the title “Place of Indulgence” represent, and how does it reflect the overall concept of the album? The title Place of Indulgence is literal and deliberate: it celebrates indulgence instead of abstinence. For us it means the uncompromising liberty of the individual, the right to feel, desire, and act without ritual self-punishment or moral self-censure for thinking or wanting what society says we shouldn’t. We do not recognise “sin” in the traditional sense, and therefore we do not accept the notion of remission as a moral or spiritual solution. Musically and thematically the album follows that idea throughout. Place of Indulgence is a ritual for the unapologetic self, an ode to breaking dogma, whether religious, political, or cultural. The songs map a decaying, neon cityscape where beauty and horror coexist, and where the characters refuse to hide behind guilt or false virtue. At the same time, the record is not anarchy without limits: it defends freedom with responsibility, the idea that your liberty ends where the next person’s begins. That tension, ecstatic transgression versus the ethics of coexistence, is the conceptual backbone of the whole record. In short, the album is a sonic manifesto for free thought: a dark, urban hymn to desire, excess, and personal sovereignty, written from a place that refuses confession and celebrates consequence. Which track do you feel best represents the essence of the album, and why? I would say Overkill Boulevard best represents the essence of the album. It was the track that actually shaped the whole record and defined our musical direction. In a way, Overkill was the spark that made us understand what Nekromatics truly sounds like. It carries all the elements that became essential to our identity, the fusion of aggressive riffs, symphonic layers, and that dark, urban decay atmosphere that runs through the entire album. Lyrically, it’s also a perfect mirror of the album’s spirit: a journey through a city of sin, chaos and freedom, where indulgence replaces guilt and the only law is desire. It’s decadent, cinematic, and unapologetic, the exact place where our concept of “indulgence over abstinence” came to life for the first time. There’s a clear theme of excess and darkness throughout the album. Was this inspired by personal experiences, literature, or something else entirely? The lyrical side of Place of Indulgence is mainly inspired by literature and horror cinema, there’s no personal experience being told in the album. We wanted to build a world rather than a diary, something that draws from gothic fiction, psychological horror, and the darker side of urban decay. Writers like Poe, Baudelaire, and Lovecraft, and even modern filmmakers, inspired that sense of beauty within destruction, the fascination with madness, guilt, and desire. It’s about exploring human impulses in their rawest form, but through allegory and atmosphere, not confession. We see Place of Indulgence as a movie for the mind, each track a different scene from a decadent, dreamlike city where horror, lust, and introspection coexist. The excess and darkness are just reflections of what lies beneath civilized masks, the things people fear to acknowledge but secretly understand. Can you describe the journey you want listeners to go through when experiencing this album from beginning to end? We want the listener to step inside this ultra-sonic train and enjoy the oppressive darkness of a forty-minute journey. Place of Indulgence was designed to feel like a descent, not necessarily into evil, but into liberation through chaos. Each song is a different stop along that line, from the neon streets of Overkill Boulevard to the burning ruins of Necropolis Ablaze. It’s not meant to be comfortable. The atmosphere grows denser with every track, shifting between aggression, melancholy, and eerie beauty. By the end, we want you to feel both drained and strangely renewed, as if you’ve walked through decay and come out cleaner on the other side. In the end, the journey is about confrontation: facing the shadows within and realizing they’ve always been part of you. “Love, Murder and Mental Issues” is an intense and evocative title. What’s the story behind that track? There is indeed a story behind Love, Murder and Mental Issues, a bizarre love story intertwined with severe psychological and psychopathic disorders. But that’s as much as we’re willing to reveal, mainly to avoid any possible misunderstandings or unnecessary controversy. The song is inspired by real events, but it never mentions any specific person or situation, which leaves the narrative completely open to interpretation. That’s intentional, we wanted the lyrics to feel like fragments from a disturbed mind, where love and insanity become indistinguishable. Musically, it also mirrors that descent, starting in a more fragile, acoustic tone and then collapsing into chaos. Longe de ser apenas uma coleção de faixas pesadas e melódicas, Omniscience é uma jornada emocional sobre o confronto com o desconhecido e a descoberta de significado no caos. Neste novo capítulo, a banda revela maturidade e intenção, explorando contrastes entre agressividade e contemplação, escuridão e clareza. Gravado de forma independente, o disco reflete uma liberdade criativa total e uma identidade cada vez mais definida, onde cada nota carrega peso, emoção e propósito. Por Sandra Pinto Conversámos com os Godark sobre o conceito por trás de Omniscience, as influências que moldaram o som do álbum e a forma como o autoconhecimento se tornou o fio condutor desta obra intensa e transformadora. “Omniscience” é um conceito bastante profundo, explorando ideias como consciência absoluta, dúvida e a busca pelo significado. Como é que estas temáticas se alinham com a mensagem que a banda quer transmitir neste álbum? “Omniscience” nasce do conflito entre aquilo que sentimos e o que não conseguimos compreender. As letras exploram dúvida, medo e reconstrução, mostrando que a transformação é possível mesmo no caos. No fundo, é um álbum sobre autoconhecimento e identidade. O álbum mistura passagens melódicas e atmosféricas com riffs pesados. Como conseguiram equilibrar essas duas vertentes na composição das faixas? Esse equilíbrio faz parte da nossa identidade. O peso expressa tensão e revolta. A melodia traz profundidade emocional. Trabalhámos muito dinâmica e respiração musical para manter impacto e fluidez. O que representa a faixa-título “Omniscience” no contexto do álbum e da narrativa que ele constrói? “Omniscience” é um conceito que dá nome ao álbum. Escolhemos este título porque ele resume a jornada emocional que atravessa todas as músicas. Para nós, a “consciência absoluta” não é algo inalcançável ou místico, mas sim o confronto com aquilo que escondemos de nós próprios, nomeadamente: as fraquezas, a dor, as dúvidas e a necessidade de encontrar sentido. Ao longo do disco, as letras descrevem quedas, reconstrução, silêncio e resiliência, até chegar a uma espécie de clareza interior. Por isso, o título funciona como uma lente que une estas experiências, mostrando que o autoconhecimento é um processo constante, e não um destino fixo. Quais as influências que ajudaram a moldar o som do álbum, especialmente essa combinação de melodia e agressividade? Influências do melodeath, metal progressivo e algumas sensibilidades modernas. Procurámos intenção em cada riff e significado emocional em cada melodia, evitando imitação e privilegiando identidade. A ideia de “omnisciência” (sabedoria absoluta) parece estar presente nas letras e no som. O que ela significa para a banda e como foi incorporada na música? Para nós, “omnisciência” não é sobre atingir um estado divino ou saber tudo, é sobre tomar consciência de quem somos, no melhor e no pior. Ao longo do álbum, essa ideia surge no confronto com a dúvida, no peso das escolhas e na procura de significado quando tudo parece desmoronar. Musicalmente, incorporámo-la através da dinâmica: momentos densos e agressivos representam o caos interno, enquanto as atmosferas mais abertas simbolizam clareza e introspeção. O álbum conta com faixas com títulos muito evocativos, como “Frozen in Time” e “Land of Insane”. Como escolheram os nomes das músicas e qual o significado por trás de cada um deles? Os títulos das músicas surgiram naturalmente do processo de escrita, muitas vezes como imagens simbólicas que condensam a emoção central de cada faixa. “Frozen in Time”, por exemplo, representa aquele estado em que a vida parece suspensa, quando o passado pesa tanto que a evolução fica paralisada. Já “Land of Insane” aborda a sensação de sermos excluídos e incompreendidos, encontrando refúgio numa “terra” onde a diferença é força e não fraqueza. Em geral, procurámos títulos que não fossem apenas literais, mas que despertassem curiosidade e reflexão. Como estruturaram o álbum para criar uma jornada que vai da melancolia à transcendência e à fúria? O que querem que os ouvintes sintam ao ouvi-lo na íntegra? A ordem do álbum foi pensada sobretudo como uma jornada sonora, onde cada faixa se liga naturalmente à seguinte pelo seu clima, densidade e dinâmica. Não quisemos organizar o disco apenas pela letra ou pelo conceito, mas sim pela forma como as músicas respiram e conversam entre si. Começamos com faixas mais impactantes, que estabelecem imediatamente o ambiente, e depois exploramos diferentes intensidades, texturas e atmosferas, quase como uma onda emocional. Essa construção ajuda o ouvinte a navegar entre melancolia, tensão, libertação e fúria sem sentir que há quebras abruptas. O que pretendemos é que, ao ouvir o álbum na íntegra, a pessoa sinta fluxo, evolução e coerência, como se fosse arrastada por um único movimento contínuo, capaz de mexer com o corpo e com a cabeça ao mesmo tempo. Como foi o processo de gravação de Omniscience? Sentiram que houve alguma mudança em comparação com o vosso trabalho anterior? Foi mais focado e maduro. Chegámos ao estúdio com visão clara e demos atenção aos detalhes. É um passo em frente, sem perder a essência. As vocalizações variam entre o gutural e o melódico. Como foi o processo de exploração dessas diferentes abordagens vocais e o que cada uma delas acrescenta à mensagem do álbum? Essa dualidade vocal é essencial para expressar o contraste emocional presente nas letras. Os guturais representam o caos interno, a raiva, a impotência e a luta contra nós próprios, enquanto as partes melódicas trazem vulnerabilidade, clareza e momentos de respiração. “Omniscience” será lançado de forma independente. Quais são as vantagens e desafios de seguir este caminho? O que é que a banda ganhou com essa decisão? Lançar “Omniscience” de forma independente deu-nos total liberdade criativa para construir o álbum exatamente como o imaginámos, desde a sonoridade até à identidade visual. “‘Path to Serenity’ é o som de alguém que finalmente encontrou a luz”, Marco Marouco dos On The Loose

Com uma sonoridade que mistura o peso do doom metal clássico com a grandiosidade melódica do epic metal, On The Loose tem vindo a afirmar-se como um dos projetos mais interessantes e autênticos do panorama nacional. Apesar da sua trajetória ainda recente, a banda apresenta uma identidade musical bem definida e uma abordagem muito própria à composição, profundamente emocional, honesta e livre de fórmulas. Por Sandra Pinto Após dois álbuns marcantes, o projeto regressa com Path to Serenity, um trabalho que reflete não apenas uma evolução musical, mas também pessoal: um retrato de equilíbrio e maturidade artística, onde a melodia se alia à introspeção. Nesta conversa, Marco Marouco abre o jogo sobre o processo criativo, as mudanças na formação, a produção e a inspiração por detrás deste novo capítulo da banda. Sem editora e com uma filosofia DIY que espelha a sua autenticidade, On The Loose prova que o epic doom metal continua vivo, intenso e profundamente humano, tal como a jornada que inspira o seu mais recente álbum. On The Loose tem uma trajetória relativamente recente, mas já apresenta um som bem definido dentro do epic doom metal. Como descreveriam a evolução do som da banda desde o primeiro álbum até ao Path to Serenity? Boas e obrigado pela ajuda a divulgar uma banda sem editora. A evolução do som de On The Loose, bom o primeiro disco foi algo diferente, compus a musica de forma a que fosse todo instrumental com o apoio de uma orquestra, tem muitas guitarras, há partes de musicas com 8 guitarras diferentes ao mesmo tempo, como não encontrei ninguém para orquestrar o disco perguntei ao Lino se conhecia algum vocalista para este tipo de musica. Ele disse que não mas que podia tentar cantar e assim foi ele e o Alexz Vantrue produziram as vozes. Neste eu gravei o baixo. No Dark Emotions como o Lino andava muito ocupado com os Airforce não tinha tempo para On The Loose, perguntei ao Ventura se conhecia algum vocalista, ele sugeriu o Pedro Fialho que toca em bares e tem toda a teoria musical e mais alguma. O álbum saiu mais rock porque mentalmente eu já não estava tão mal como no primeiro disco, logo saiu uma coisa mais alegre, com muitas guitarras, e muitas vozes. Algumas musicas com 12 pistas de voz, o Pedro é um excelente compositor e harmonizador. Para o baixo falei com um amigo que não está no meio e fez um bom trabalho. No Path to Serenity as coisas complicaram porque eu estou 100% bem, ando feliz da vida e alguma coisa estava a atrapalhar as gravações. Cada um tinha o seu programa de gravar, isso complicava e atrasava a forma de trabalhar. Decidi não trabalhar com o Pedro e convidei o Rick para cantar, foi ir de um vocalista completamente profissional para um vocalista amador. Foi a melhor escolha que fiz. O baixo ficou a cargo do Toni que é um gajo 5 estrelas e um excelente baixista, tem muitos anos de bares e concertos. Numa semana gravou 3 versões diferentes. Em relação ao som em si, o primeiro disco foi a primeira produção do Miguel Fernandes, um amigo de anos logo notas alguma ingenuidade, o segundo disco dei ao Paulão para produzir mas com muitas restrições, o som de bateria foi o que saiu do estúdio e as vozes foram misturadas pelo Pedro. Neste terceiro disco o Paulão teve total liberdade para fazer o que ele quisesse com a musica. O álbum Path to Serenity traz mudanças significativas na formação da banda. Como é que estas mudanças influenciaram o processo de composição e a direção musical do álbum? As mudanças nunca alteram a forma de compor uma vez que eu componho tudo. É mais o meu estado de espirito, eu normalmente em duas semanas tenho os riffs para um disco. Depois passo as demos ao Ventura ele faz o famoso djing, estrutura os riffs de forma a fazer uma musica, depois é gravar bateria e baixo. Neste disco a voz foi trabalhada da forma que eu queria, o Rick não faz a mínima do que é cantar, então pedi ao Paulão para ir uns dias para estúdio com o Rick e entre os dois inventarem melodias, tipo quando temos 15 anos e formamos uma banda e cada um dá uma opinião sobre uma possível melodia de voz mesmo sem perceber patavina. Foi isso que resultou neste disco, a ingenuidade e total liberdade para criar o que viesse á cabeça. Sem dobrar a voz 100 vezes. Qual foi a principal inspiração para o título Path to Serenity e como é que ele se liga à temática do álbum? A temática do disco é sobre mim, finalmente estou em paz comigo mesmo, por esse motivo escolhi esse titulo, estou feliz a vida corre bem e quando corre menos bem dou a volta por cima em vez de cair na depressão, estou a viver uma nova vida e quis escrever sobre isso. As letras de Path to Serenity têm uma carga emocional profunda, abordando temas como desolação e reflexão pessoal. Qual é o conceito por trás das letras e como é que elas se conectam com a música? Sim, o Rick escreve muito bem, aliás o Rick escreveu as letras de todos os discos de On The Loose pedi ao Rick para escrever sobre a luta de sair de uma depressão coisa que ele não sabe o que é porque é um gajo que está sempre contente e fez um excelente trabalho, dei umas dicas os títulos fui eu que fiz e ele através das minhas ideias e do nome de cada musica desenvolveu. Relativamente à forma como se relacionam com a musica, epá não sei, se calhar a grande diferença de On The Loose para todas as outras bandas de doom é que as musicas são todas compostas na melódica menor enquanto as outras bandas juntam a harmónica menor para dar aquele ar mais obscuro e com a afinação em MI …
