“It’s all about the emotions, the vibe”, From Sheep to Wolves

With Ephemeris, From Sheep to Wolves turn inward, crafting what they describe as a musical diary — a record shaped by memory, emotional confrontation, and the tension between light and darkness. Conceived as a cinematic journey through self-discovery, the album navigates childhood nostalgia, societal disillusionment, rejection, perseverance, and personal awakening. Blending versatility with raw honesty, the band channels both direct experiences and empathic reflections into a work that moves between vulnerability and defiance.

In this interview, they open up about the emotional core of Ephemeris, the collaborative energy behind it, and the path they are already carving toward their next chapter.

The album title, Ephemeris, means “journal.” How does this diary concept translate into the music and lyrics of the album?
It’s all about personal experiences, perspective and how we project our light and darkness into life, manifesting though our thoughts and battling our early stage programming and doubts.

The album is described as a journey of self-discovery and growth. Which personal experiences inspired the songs?
The beautiful Childhood memories that help people cope with the negative aspect of society is one of the main inspirations.

With contributions from both current and former members, how did collaboration shape the final outcome of the album?
Incredibly, Carlo usually takes care of production however the different ideas opinions and musicianship made this album magic.

The album spans a full emotional spectrum, from struggle to hope. How did you decide on the track order to reflect this narrative?
The track order was created as a concept of a movie or a soundtrack to ones journey.

Songs like Submission and Rejection feel very introspective. How honest and direct was the lyrical writing process?
I don’t think it could get any more honest than that…

Are there universal themes in the album that you hope listeners can relate to in their own lives?
Definitely. The unstable and unfair situation with Society is a prime example. The stupid mentality to drop your dreams is another.

What messages of perseverance or personal growth do you hope Ephemeris communicates?
To wake up, face your fears and embrace all your emotions and control them. As within so without.

The band’s sound is described as versatile and unpredictable. How do you balance this diversity with a coherent album narrative?
It’s all about the emotions, the vibe.

Were there any particularly experimental or new musical elements compared to your previous work?
Yes, the bassist loves to tweak the songs and push boundaries which ultimately makes the song better in many aspects.

Tracks like Electrify and Hollow have very distinct atmospheres. How did you decide on each song’s sonic style to serve the album’s story?
It’s just honest lyrics speaking inner truth inspired by direct experiences and indirect experiences. We’re empaths so we feel other people’s experiences.

With such a personal and introspective album, how do you envision performing these songs live?
For the time being we have limits however in the near future we envision performing immersive shows that are memorable and leave an impact.

Is there a track that is especially challenging to play on stage due to its emotional weight?
Yes, rejection and reminiscent.

What reaction do you hope fans will have when they hear Ephemeris for the first time?
Let’s say a good shock and relatability. We want to move people.

After such an intense and introspective project, what are the next steps for From Sheep to Wolves?
Already working on the second album.

Do you plan to continue exploring deeply personal themes in future albums, or are there new directions you’d like to take?
There are new directions already, however we shall stay true to our purpose.
